Contour is an interactive installation that deconstructs and reassembles form, identity, and sound. A sculpted and rotating foam structure frames embedded video screens, where real-time facial tracking captures and fragments participants’ expressions. Simultaneously, the participant’s voice is recorded, engineered, and restructured into evolving audio compositions that fill the space.

Through visual, sonic, and spatial layering, Contour invites participants to witness their own presence reinterpreted—fragmented and reformed across shifting surfaces, screens, and sounds. The installation offers a landscape of continuous transformation, blurring the lines between observer and observed.

Contour is a temporary pop-up exhibition made possible with the support from SKK Developments.

Special Thanks to Supporters Jeff & Mai Townsend, Sannie Osborn, Melissa LuVisi & Stephen Sosnicki, Clay Nutting, All City Homes, Honey, Paul Endelman & Bianca Sievers, and Ken & Roz Endelman...

Jake Castro

Jake received his Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus on Public Art and Print Making from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). He has public artwork spanning throughout Sacramento and the Bay Area, Chicago, and internationally in Spain and Thailand. Jake’s style of urban contemporary art explores the manipulation of space through basic linear shapes and color. Many of Jake’s past projects respond to large-scale spaces, both interior and exterior. His work is site-specific, and through his artistic process, Jake’s architecturally-integrated designs
celebrate the geometry of their space. Jake’s murals create dynamic, multidimensional canvases through which he experiments with depth, dimension, and movement. His artwork highlights the natural features of existing infrastructures by complementing a variety of sections with strategic placement of line and geometric forms. Jake’s style is abstract, thus up for interpretation, so it has the ability to make an area more approachable and encourages the community to start a dialogue. Jake’s public art experience includes working with a diverse range of stakeholders and clients, including landscape architects, designers, local government, developers, business owners, other artist and community members.
